Miniature Horse Harness Racing

Nothing could be finer than the fun of participating in miniature horse harness racing!

Not only do we race with the Blue Ridge Miniature Harness Racing Club but we can train your horse for harness racing and help you get the feel for the reins. Come join us for some good old fashioned fun on Saturday afternoons. Then, after the racing bug has bitten you like it has us we can help you get onto the race track yourself.

The Blue Ridge Miniature Harness Racing Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing fun and excitement for the entire family with their miniature horses. The American Miniature Horse, long known for its ability as a cart horse, has proven itself as a natural in the harness racing sport.

All horses that participate in the miniature harness racing are registered and are 38 inches or less in height. The horses race a distance of 1/4 mile with racing division for both youth and adult. 

The club races at two tracks during the year. Four races are held at the Bryant Farm in Taylorsville, NC with four additional races at Shallowcreek Downs in Mt. Airy, NC.
